Chennai: Ajith Kumar and Shruthi Hassan starring latest super hit film Vedhalam has crossed Salman Khan Prem Ratan Dhan Payo collections at Malaysia box office

Tamil Super star Ajith Kumar has huge fan base among all Tamil heroes and he is the only hero after Rajinikanth to gain such huge fan following. In overseas also there are more fans for Ajith. Recently Ajith Kumar breaks the Salman Khan’s record in Malaysia.

However, Salman Khan is a big star in India, but the star power is nowhere near to Ajith Kumar in Malaysia. As per latest reports, Ajith Kumar Vedhalam has crossed the collections of Salman Khan’s latest flick Prem Ratan Dhan Payo with huge margin in Malaysia. It has collected more than PRDP at Malaysia box office. This proved the stamina of Ajith kumar in that area.

According to the latest reports, Ajith Kumar starrer ‘Vedhalam’ has grossed 2.97 Crores from 40 centers in the first weekend. On the other hand, Salman Khan Starrer Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has managed to collect only 19.65 lakh from 16 centers.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is a romantic drama film, written and directed by Sooraj Barjatya, the film features Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles. While Neil Nitin Mukesh, Anupam Kher, Sanja?y? Mishra and Swara Bhaskar in the supporting roles. The film is released over 5300+ screens worldwide which include 4500+ screens in India and 800+ screens abroad.

It should be noted that Ajith Kumar’s ‘Vedalam‘ enjoyed a six day weekend, but the Salman Khan starrer got only four day weekend. On the other hand, as per trade sources, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is failing to create the magic created by Bhajrangi Bhaijan in the Malaysian Box Office.

Vedhalam is written and directed by Siva, which is produced by A. M. Ratnam. The film features Ajith Kumar, Shruthi Haasan, Lakshmi Menon in the lead roles. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music and the background score. Vedhalam is released in 1500+ screens across the world, which includes 520+ screens in Tamil Nadu alone and around 450 Screens across 35 countries
