Akhil Akkineni Fails to Beat Ram Charan’s Record

Hyderabad: Akhil Akkineni has failed to beat the debut movie collections record set by Mega Power Star Ram Charan with Chirutha in 2007.

Akhil Akkineni, this name was heard many times in recent days in TV’s, Interviews and in news channels also. Akhil Akkineni had arrived into theaters with his debut film, “Akhil-The Power of Jua” directed by Vinayak. However, the movie has collected decent figures on its first day but it failed to impress audience and his fans. Apart from Akhil dances and action nothing was there.

One more interesting news is that, Akhil movie has failed to beat Ram Charan record on its five day run. Ram Charan as a son of Mega Star Chiranjeevi was introduced to Film Industry with his debut film Chirutha in 2007 and it has created unanimous records at box office for a debut film.

Akkineni fans hoped that Akhil would create records for a debut film and they thought he may erase all previous records of Debut heroes. But from Second day onwards, Akhil movie has seen a major fall in collection. Even in weekend also the film has managed to collect little amount.

Collections were disastrous even during the first weekend that Akhil has managed only about 17 crores share in its five day weekend. Akhil would end up below 20 Cr mark and Akkineni star failed to beat the record set by Ram Charan Tej in 2007.

Charan still holds full run record for a debut film. Akhil’s show in overseas is even worse than the domestic business. The film has collected paltry $162K by the end of Sunday which is no way relative to the money invested and the huge release across United States. Even Naga Chaitanya’s Dochay, which was also a major disaster, collected $165K in its full run.
