Chennai: Unlike Telugu audience response for Akhil movie, it fails to entertain in Tamil theaters. Thenandal Films banner takes distribution rights for Tamil Nadu.
As we reported earlier, Telugu movies have huge market in Tamil. ‘Baahubali’ has opened doors for them. ‘Rudhramadevi’, ‘Bruce Lee’ also got huge release in Tamil Nadu. Mahesh Babu’s ‘Srimanthudu’ fetched more success just like ‘Baahubali’. Now following same sting ‘Akhil’ also got release.
The Tamil rights were bagged by Sri Thenandal Films. Nagarjuna’s second son Akhil did lead role in the movie ‘Akhil – The Power of Jua’. V.V Vinayak has directed the movie. Sayesha segal also made her debut as female lead role. Music is scored by Anoop Rubens and S.S.Thaman.
Actor Nithin produced the movie under his banner Sri Sresht Movies. It had high expectations as V.V Vinayak directs the movie and Akhil got some praises from Amitabh Bachchan and Sachin Tendulkar.
Sri Thenandal Films who tasted failure with ‘Rudhramadevi’ was planning to bounce back with this. But due to ‘Vedhalam’ storm and other factors the movie got some pathetic response. Even in Telugu the movie has got some poor response. The movie is expected to be one flop under Thenandal Films banner.
