The veteran actor has chosen an interesting script this time which is based on the Olympic Gold medal for India after getting the Independence.
It looks like Bollywood is focusing on biopics and sports dramas. Recently the biopic of Indian skipper MS Dhoni the Untold Story got a huge round of appreciation from the audience and few more movies like Aamir Khan Dangal is on the way. Surprisingly, Akshay Kumar is also coming up with a sports drama based on Olympic gold medal-winning at 1948 Olympics.
Rustom actor took the Twitter and posted his forthcoming film Gold First Look Poster. Directed by popular filmmaker Reema Kagti, and Gold movie produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment.
The script revolves around Indian Hockey Team lead by Kishan Lal won the Gold medal for India at 1848 London Olympics. Airlift actor Akshay planned to release his films on Independence Day.
The actor’s latest flick Rustom released on Independence Day this year. His next film Crack with Neeraj Pandey will plan to release on Independence Day next year.
Akshay Kumar Gold directed by Reema Kagti’s third directional venture. Her first film Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd. (2007), received mixed reviews and second film Talaash also mixed reviews at the ticket window.
However, Akshay Kumar is always going in a variety way in choosing films. He is trying something new every time. And this time also he is going to entertain his fans and audience with a sports drama.
Apart from Akshay Kumar Gold, the actor will see as an antagonist in Rajinikanth’s much-anticipated film “2.0” directed by Shankar.
