Mumbai: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar shared his happiness and few things about his latest flick Airlift and he said that he can’t express his happiness on the movie success.
‘Airlift’ featured Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur in lead roles. Raja Krishna Menon shaped the project. The movie became the first successful one in 2016. The movie is based on the biggest evacuation of Indians based in Kuwait during Iraq – Kuwait war.
Akshay Kumar produced the movie and recently during an interview session he said that Bollywood is not profitable and wealthy as it is considered to be. The movie ‘Airlift’ collected Rs.44 Crores on the opening weekend. But despite that, Akshay said this.
He further said, “I am so happy that the movie was received by everyone. I am very happy to get an opportunity to make a movie on this script. I can’t express my happiness. If I could, I would jump with joy that people have loved this film, enjoyed and appreciated it.
I would love to thank people who gave a warm welcome to this film. Because these movies reach only a certain level like 40 – 60 Crores. There’s no commerciality or item song and no comedy. And taking this film to this level itself, is due to sensible people.
