One of the most trusted and online shopping giant, Amazon is in controversy for selling the door mats which consist of religious god images.
Angry Indians have started the campaign to boycott the Amazon from purchasing the products. The Twitter and the Facebook have been chosen as the sources for the campaign. from Saturday, the tweets and posts in the social media have forced the online shopping giant to roll back the decision of selling the doormats which consisted the religious symbols and images. The images not only belonged to the Hindus, but also the religions like Muslims and Christian symbols also were printed.
A large section of the Hindus has expressed their anger and grief over the company’s business functioning. The #tagged messages – “#BoycottAmazon” in Twitter and facebook have gone viral on the net. Earlier, in the year 2014 also the company has done the same mistake as one of the sections in the Hindu religion have raised the objections over selling the women leggings with the Hindu Gods printed on them. In the same manner now also many Hindu gods and goddesses pictures were printed on the doormats which will be used for cleaning the legs. This is a shameful act and the sinful too as per the beliefs of the Hindus. The insulting and hurting business strategy of the company and the retailer is not a ethical strategy of business.
Now almost all the religious have got hurt with the act of the Amazon. The company has to return back the stock in order to make the angry members calm down. Rock Bull is the retailer who has dared to do such ruthless act. All the items have been removed from the portal too.
