AP Releases Master Plan for its New Capital Amaravati City

Andhra Pradesh, May 26: AP government released Amaravati city plan to build its capital with an extension of 217 sq.km between Vijayawada, Guntur towns where Krishna river flows and 5.6 million jobs will be created along with 8 sq.km is being developed.

Andhra Pradesh Government has released the master plan to build a capital city, which is prepared by the Singapore government. The agencies have already submitted the first phase of plan which covers an area of approximately 7,325 sq.km and now it submitted second phase of the Master plan which deals with an area 125 sq.km of core area of capital city.

Singapore’s Second Minister for Trade and Industry S. Iswaran has handover the master plan of new capital city of new capital city of Andhra Pradesh to AP chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. As per the master plan the capital city extents to 217 sq.km between Vijayawada and Guntur towns where the Krishna river flows.

Singapore has supported to the Andhra Pradesh’s vision to create a vibrant and comfortable city for its people and Amaravathi will truly by a people’s capital. Singapore government has designed the blue master print for new capital city which can face the urban challenges until 2050. The plan seems like creating 5.6 million jobs and will be home for 13.5 million people. The third face of master plan relates to development plan which covers an area 8 sq.km.

AP Government has decided to perform simple bhumi puja on 6th June at 8.49 am and the actual work for capital city will be start from October on the occasion of Dussera.
