Andhra Pradesh: AP requires 25 lakh square feet of area to built-up administrative quarters at Vijayawada, but it has only 7 lakh square feet. A shortage of 18L has been found in the survey.
After the separation of state, Andhra Pradesh government is seriously working for the state development, and expected to shift the entire administration department as soon as possible. The AP state government required 25 lakh square feet of area to move the 25,000 staff in the administrative quarters from Hyderabad to their Vijayawada.
According to sources, the officials has identified only one-third of land. Till the formation of new capital Amaravathi, the AP government need temporary space between Vijayawada and Guntur. The official of survey committee has identified only 7 lakh square feet of built-up area and the committee submitted the report to Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao about this.
Hyderabad is supposed to the common capital for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states till 2024, but the AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is planning to set up a temporary new capital at least by this Dussera i.e. on October 22 and the AP government is planning to lay foundation stone on this dussera for new capital.
According to the sources, the entire administration is not ready to relocate to Vijayawada without proper office and residential accommodation and infrastructure.
