Apple introduced latest new iPhone SE in India and it is available in retail stores from April 8.
As per source, Apple introduced latest new iPhone SE and iPhone SE will be sold at a starting price of Rs 39,000 for 16 GB, though a higher variant of 64 GB will be made available, price of which has not been officially announced.
Beetel Teletech and Redington too will begin the distribution of iPhone SE, Apple’s lowest priced smartphone, from April 8 at 3,500 and 3,000 retail locations respectively.
Apple is going back to its popular 4-inch size. But it is yet to be seen how well does the new 4-inch phone go in attracting Indian consumers who are now in the habit of using larger-screen phones.
The new phone has the company’s latest features A9 processor, a 12-megapixel camera and a secure chip that allows the use of Apple Pay, the company’s digital payment service. Apple Pay was previously only available with iPhone 6 and 6S models.
The 64-bit A9 chip, introduced in iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, offers iPhone SE customers two times faster CPU and three times faster GPU performance compared to iPhone 5s, all with gains in energy efficiency for improved battery life, the statement said.
iPhone SE users can browse, download and stream content even faster with wi-fi up to three times and LTE up to 50 percent faster than iPhone 5s.
