New Delhi, Aug 3: Taiwan-based technology major ASUS on Wednesday launched a new version of its Zenfone Selfie (ZD551KL) smartphone in India at Rs 12,999.

The phone is available on Amazon and can be purchased from retail outlets from September.

The 5.5-inch device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor and has 3GB RAM and 16GB memory that is expandable up to 128GB and runs on the Android Lollipop operating system.

“The new Zenfone Selfie perfectly encapsulates the creativity of the ASUS design team with the stunning diamond cut back fashioned to deliver a stylish and luxury experience for consumers,” said Peter Chang, Region Head, South Asia and Country Manager, ASUS India, in a statement.

The device sports a 13MP front camera with a f/2.2-aperture, wide-angle (88-degree) lens, dual colour real-tone flash and selfie panorama. It also supports macro photography that allows users to capture objects over 6cm.

The smartphone also sports a 13MP rear camera with a f/2.0-aperture, auto-laser focus lens, dual colour real tone flash and houses a 3000mAh battery.
