About Bal Gangadhar Tilak & Chandra Shekhar Azad
Bal Gangadhar Tilak was born on 23-7-1856 in Maharashtra previously Bombay State. He participated in Indian Independence Movement and fought for country’s freedom from british government. Tilak was sent to Mandalay, Burma prison from 1908 to 1914 for defending two revolutionaries Bose and Chaki in his paper swaraj. He continued reading and writing during imprisonment. After years of jail Tilak was released in 1914 due to diabetic problem. He was died on 1st August, 2015 at the age of 64 in Maharashtra.
Chandra Shekhar Azad was born on 23-7-1906 in Bhavra, Alirajpur, Central India Agency. Chandra Shekhar Tiwari who called Azad is a revolutionary leader, freedom fighter and a political activist. Hindustan Republican Association (HRA) is the organization formed by Ram Prasad Bismil. The main aim of HRA is ‘an independent India with equal rights and opportunity to everyone without discrimination of caste, creed, religion or social status.‘ Azad was very much impressed with this aims and he believed that the future of India would be socialist. Bismil was impressed with Azad’s thoughts and joined him in his organization. Azad died on 27-2-1931 at Alfred Park in Allahabad by committing suicide.
