Chennai: Regarding Nadigar Sangam elections, Bharathiraja till today didn’t support anyone, but he stressed a point that a Tamilan need to hold post after the elections are held.

Bharathiraja who has been instrumental in Nadigar sangam has never opened his mouth so far. He never said whom he will support. The director just kept muted response regarding the elections.

But as the media buzzed him consistently he finally broke the ice and spoke regarding the upcoming elections. But till the end he just stressed on one point. And it is only a ‘TAMILAN’ should be the president.

He never made it clear as whom he will support. He also expressed his displeasure regarding the problems of the actors and he said these should never be discussed in Public as lots of defamatory news are posted on TV channels.

The director pin-pointed some mistakes made by Sarathkumar and he said that so far  Tamil Nadu politics and Tamil Film industry are being dominated by those who are not native Tamilans. He said the same should not happen in Nadigar Sangam too. However this has sparked controversy because Nasser who is contesting for post of president is a Tamilan and if Vishal is considered to be Telugu, then Raadika Sarathkumar is also a Telugu. His statements baffled everyone at the press meet.
