Telangana, May 18: BSE TS SSC results pass percentage drops this year by 8 percent compare to last years. Is the new TS SSC evaluation system is superior? Here is the report.

Directorate of Government Examination, Telangana has recently announced the Class 10th results at main site. The overall pass percentage of TS SSC Exams is 77.56 percent; it was dropped by the 8 percent compare to last year.

Telangana state government has introduced the new examination and evaluation system in state, due this impact the pass percentage of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination was decreased by almost 8 percent this year.

On 17th May, 2015 Education Minister Kadiyam Srihari has revealed the SSC exams results, only 77.56 percentage students qualified the examinations, before it was 85%, now it is decreased to almost 8 percent for the 10 Telangana districts.

The minister explained  regarding this, “ The reduction in passes could be recognized to the new examination system, where students can write answers by their own words rather than repeating what they mugged from the text books and it is reflected that how there was no chance for cheating unlike the previous years”.

The minister said that Warangal was in first place with highest 91.6 pass percent and Adilabad was in last position with 54.9 passes. And 1,491 schools have 100 percent passes and 28 schools not a single student could pass. The pass percent in backward classes is 79.83 percent and other castes 77.12, Scheduled tribes are 73.57 and Scheduled castes are 73.23.

Minister said the Telangana State Residential Education Institutions Society (TSREI) secured with highest pass percentage 92.99 and Government schools were with 63.99 percent. Out of 65 TSREI 22 secured with 100 percent passes and 27 TS social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions got 100 percent passes out of 120. In Tribal Welfare schools only 9 secured with 100 percent passes out of 72.

Among total 1015 government schools only 9 secured with no passes and 99 secured with 100 percent passes, among 4052 Zilla parishad schools, 5 with zero passes and 385 with 100 percent passes. Overall 1,50,911 secured with A1 grade.

The minister also announced the supplementary examination details and dates and those will be held from 18th June to 2nd July, 2015 and failed students should pay the examination fee before 30th May, 2015. If any of candidates wish to recount their score they need to pay Rs.50 per subject and those wish to re-verification of their answer sheet need to pay Rs.1000 per subject.
