New Delhi: Following unprecedented raids on Delhi Secretariat by CBI, Arvind Kejriwal has lashed out at the Central government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Kejriwal came out on Twitter to call the Prime Minister a ‘coward’ and a ‘psychopath’.
The Chief Minister who has been locked in a bitter battle with the Centre has accused Modi of playing Politics and also stated that the central government has been using CBI for political vendetta.
“CBI raids my office,” Kejriwal tweeted. “When Modi could not handle me politically, he resorts to this cowardice. Modi is a coward and psychopath,” he said in another tweet expressing his anger over the raids.
While Rajya Sabha was functioning there was a huge uproar and Non BJP members were in support of Arvind Kejriwal. Meanwhile, Arun Jaitley dismissed Arvind’s claims and stated, “The CBI raid has nothing to do with Arvind Kejriwal and his office. The raid is in relation to the corruption case against an officer,” Jaitley informed the Rajya Sabha.
The CBI has raided the third floor of the Delhi Secretariat where Mr. Rajendra Kumar is housed after the agency got some information that he was carrying out illegal activities by taking bribes and “favouring a particular firm in the last few years in getting tenders from Delhi government departments.” The third floor also houses Arvind Kejriwal’s office.
“After taking warrants, searches are being conducted in the office and residence of Rajendra Kumar. The allegations against Rajendra Kumar were raised by Ashish Joshi, former member secretary, Delhi Dialogue Commission,” the agency said.
