Celkon Investing 250 Crore in Tirupati, Hyderabad projects

Hyderabad: Celkon Impex Pvt Ltd, the fifth largest handset maker is ready to build two factories at cost Rs. 250 crore in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for making Celkon-branded phones and tablets locally from June 2016.

Chairman and Managing Director, Y. Guru said that Celkon will divide the equally investments between in Tirupati and Hyderabad with planned services. Cellkon has been allocated 11.4 acres at E-City Hardware Park outside of the Hyderabad by Telangana Government on Monday.

For electronic hardware manufacturing, 602 acres has been dedicated from the 1, 250 acres Hardware Park. Here, the biggest phone brand Micromax Informatics Limited is also located a congregation unit.

Celkon has a plan to establish the county’s first mobile phone manufacturing cluster along with its biggest rivals Micromax, Karban Mobile India Private Limited and Lava International Limited together.

Guru said that today India having similar position with the China’s previous 1990s but they thought that will beat or cross the China by 2018. In, Hyderabad, Celkon will have production line of 10. The combination of Hyderabad and Tirupati unites will have capacity of production finally of 1 million units a month.
