Indian censor board is often making some cuts and mutes which are often criticized badly. They themselves don’t know on what basis those cuts are made. Recently we reported that they chopped a kissing scene between Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in the movie ‘Tamasha’.

The censor felt that the kissing scene was too long and they chopped that scene. Now the same thing has happened for Bond’s ‘Spectre’ too. This has caused ripples. Indian audiences, renowned film makers and celebrities have criticized the censor board for making James Bond as Sanskari in ‘Spectre’. Ashoke Pandit, Shirish Kunder and Chetan Bhagat have been tweeted their frank thoughts on the censor board.

Film-maker Ashoke Pandit tweeted,

“#PahlajNihalani has always functioned on his own accord and I don’t subscribe to his curtailing of creative rights. #JamesBond #CBFC”

“#Spectre is an internationally applauded film, bt again #PahalajNihalani messes it up by shading it with his own thought process. #JamesBond”

“Just because I didn’t succumb 2 #PahalajNihalani’s likes & dislikes, I’ve never bn called 2 see a film in the revising committee. #JamesBond”

“#PahalajNilhalani is a maker who started d trend of ‘vulgarity’ in Indian cinema esp. songs & is now giving sermons 2 filmmakers. #JamesBond”

Writer Chetan Bhagat tweeted

“Heard Censor Board trimmed kiss length in a bond movie. Wonder how they decide? They all watch and mid way say “boss, ab yeh jyada ho gaya”
