Schools and colleges were shut down for nearly a month and they were re-opened yesterday. Still 29 more schools were shut down due to water logs and swamps. The Sun shine is back and students are turning back to their usual routine.

But things are not the same for students without their books. Due to floods, most of them lost their books. Troubles are a plenty for Class X and XII students as board exams are approaching.

In this case despite Jayalalitha’s order that Half Yearly exams should be postponed, most schools have kept Half yearly exams. Some schools have just renamed the exams to Monthly exams and Pre-Half Yearly exams.

Emily Sujirtha Titus who is the Principal of CSI St.Ebbas Matriculation Higher Secondary School said, “We don’t want to talk about anything. Students are still scared. They have lost everything. We are planning for counselling. We lost an entire academic session. We are planning to conduct extra classes.”
