Chennai High court says ‘Killing Veerappan’ cannot be banned

Chennai: The Chennai High court has lifted a ban on Killing Veerappan. Finally, the court said it cannot be banned and releasing on mentioned date.

Director Ram Gopal varma who is famous for controversial speeches and tweets,has directed the documentary ‘Killing Veerappan’. Sai Karthik scored tunes for this project. The movie was shot in Kannada and Telugu as bi-lingual and the movie has been delayed yet again.Kannada actor Shivraj kumar has done the lead role.

The movie had more expectations. Sandeep Bharadwaj has reprised the role of Veerappanand Yagna Shetty has done a role of Muthulakshmi who is the wife of Veerappan.

Apart from Telugu, Kannada and Hindi, the movie was also expected to get a release in Tamil. In this case, Paneer Selvi issued a notice at Chennai High court requesting a ban.

In her statement she mentioned that Veerapan’s wife Muthulakshmi was portayed in a wrong manner and it also portrays tribals as cannibals. But the judge who heard the case said the movie cannot be banned and he also postponed the second hearing to January 4th. Judge also said he will expect a valid explanation from the attorney.
