Chinese authorities has arrested a group of 20 foreign tourist including Britons, South African and Indian national in northern China.

As per the reports of Britain’s Foreign office and South African charity, a group of 20 tourists who scheduled for 47-day long tour of the country have been arrested on Friday at Ordos’s airport, in the autonomous Chinese region of Inner Mongolia.

Gift of the Givers a disaster relief organization posted a statement on its Facebook page, “a group of 20 tourists have been arrested, no reasons were given for their arrest and cell phones of tourist have been seized. After the 48 hours of arrest the tour operator understood that something went wrong and discovered the holidaymakers had been arrested after travelling to the airport”.

Chinese authorities said that, the group including eleven Britons, five South Africans, three Britons and one Indian national have arrested for being watching propaganda videos from a banned group in their hotel room.

Gift of the Givers Foundation said that, China has agreed to release eleven members out of 20 but those are remains in custody without charged until flights of China could be blocked them and remaining nine, of which three are British, five south African and one is Indian national arrested without charge at detention centre in Inner Mongolia.
