Waiting for UPSC Civil service examination results is almost over, commission is going to announce IAS, IFS, IPS and other civil service exam results today at official website. Thousands of candidates appeared for the most prestigious civil service (main) examination on 14th to 20th December 2014.
UPSC conducted the examination to select eligible and suitable officers for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS). UPSC conducts the examination in three stages including preliminary, mains and interviews. Around 9.45 lakh candidates had applied for preliminary examination, exam was held on last year 24th August at 2,137 venues in 59 centers across the country. But only 4.51 lakh candidates had attended the examination.
Around 16,933 candidates qualified in preliminary examination and out of which 16,286 candidates appeared for main examination, which was held in the month of December last year. And the result of main examination was declared on this year 13th March. Total 3,308 candidates were qualified for personality test. Out these 3,303 candidates appeared for the personality test, which was held from 27th April to June 30.
This is the biggest examination ever conducted by the commission, now the UPSC is going to declare final results of civil service examination and total 1,364 seats are to be filled.
