Currently, Facebook has 1.44 billion Mobile app users and the rest 0.15 billion online active users.

FB’s CEO also took the opportunity to justify the failure that is faced from the Indian Market by quoting that with such failures FB will learn the things and implement new ideas in a better way. The initiatives that got succeeded with the launch of internet.org are also explained in this regard by Mr. Mark. Free Basics though failed in the Indian market, it has achieved success in around 38 countries and has brought nearly 19 Million people to access the internet.

India has banned the Free Basics service as it prevents the smaller content providers from participating and starting up their services.

Mr.Zuckerberg also informed about the future plans of FB like accessing the Internet through solar power drones, through satellites in Africa. He also hinted that FB would test the full pledged trials of providing the Internet services through drones which will be flying in the air and not occupying the space on earth. It is estimated that they would resemble Boeing 747 aircraft size and provide 3-6 months internet to the surface.
