CSIR UGC NET 2015 Syllabus & Important Topics

This year, The CSIR is going to conduct National Eligibility Test (NET) on December 20, 2015 at various pre allotted exam centers. The Test is organized every year to regulate the eligibility of the aspirants for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) and eligibility for employment of Lecturers (NET) in certain subject areas of Science & Technology.  Below we are providing the exam syllabus along with paper pattern. Candidates should know that CSIR UGC NET last year paper, previous year papers and model paper is available in the CSIR website.

The candidates can check the CSIR UGC NET 2015 Syllabus given below:

CSIR UGC NET exam paper will be divided into 3 parts, namely Part A, B and C as listed below:

Part ‘A’:

Part A will be common to all subjects. This part contains maximum of 20 questions of General Aptitude. The candidates are required to answer any 15 questions. Each question carries two marks. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 30.

Part ‘B’:

Part B is Subject-related given multiple choice questions. The maximum number of questions to be attempted will be in the range of 20-35. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 70.

Part ‘C’:

The question in this part is to test the candidate’s knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concepts. The questions shall be of logical nature. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 100 out of 200.

Note: The candidates should note that there will be a negative marking for wrong answers. The exam will be conducted in two sessions i.e. Morning session (9 am to 12 pm) and afternoon session (2pm to 5 pm) or as per scheduled timings printed on the admit cards.
