Cutting of Kissing Scenes is No Big Deal Says Director Ali

Mumbai: Deepika and Ranbir’s Tamasha movie has got U/A certificate from censor board after cutting some kissing scenes between the pair, for this director Ali said that this cuts will not affect the movie.

‘Tamasha’ is an upcoming romantic comedy in Bollywood. The movie is directed by Imtiaz Ali and it is funded by Sajid Nadiadwala. Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are doing lead roles. The movie is slated for a worldwide release on 27th of this month.

A.R.Rahman’s songs are already topping the charts. The movie recently cleared the censors with ‘U/A’. Censor board trimmed a kissing scene between the lead pair Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor.

This created huge ripples on social media. But director Imtiaz Ali has made a statement that these cuts are not going to affect the movie by any means. He said, “I never have big problems with the censor board. They were okay with our movie and gave few suggestions. They also provided valuable reasons. I was also reasonable.

They wanted to censor some words and they said they are sensitive against women. A director makes something and when it is censored, the director resents it. It’s always part of the game. I am always responsible when I make a movie. I am influenced by cinema and the morality factor.”
