Cyberabad Car-Free Thursday Campaign Launched by HYSEA

Cyberabad: Hyderabad Software Exports Association, HYSEA launched Car-Free-Thursday campaign at IT corridor covering Hi-Tech City and Gachibowli areas to minimize traffic and oil usage.

From 6th August, 2015 Thursday, the number of cars going towards Hi-Tech city and Gachibowli area will be lesser, the IT industry has launched a new awareness campaign on this Thursday i.e. Car-Free-Thursday to encourage IT employees not to use cars on every Thursday to get to their work place.

On this Thursday the Car-Free-Thursday campaign has been launched, IT employees and volunteers encouraged the people at bus stops with the placards that read “Thank You For Taking the Bus”, “I don’t drive this car on Thursday” and thanked various number of people those who are travelling by alternate modes of travelling other than car and other vehicles for one day in the week.

To reduce the number of vehicles on road to free up space and to solve parking problems in the various IT companies, Hyderabad Software Exporters Association (HYSEA) has introduced this campaign with an association Telangana’s Transport department, Cyberabad Security Council and different organisations.

The HYSEA officials said that, they will continue the campaign wit out any pause to create awareness among the IT world. As a support to this campaign Telangana State Road Transport Corporation is likely to introduce 70 additional buses in this pilot route to help the employees travel by bus.
