The Tourism Island-Fiji was thrashed by disaster on Saturday when one of the most dangerous Cyclone hit the country. The winds traveled with a speed between 285 kmph to 325 kmph leaving the Fijian capital helpless. Nature was cruel in taking many human lives and the livelihood of Fijians.

It also imposed curfew for three days as the govt. officials were working day and night to bring things to normal. The officials are trying hard to assess the damage in remote places of the Pacific Island.

The Prime Minister of Fiji, Mr. Voreqe Bainimarama has addressed the nation over Television about the rescue operations that Police and Army were jointly performing to overcome the phase of disaster where the people were living without fresh drinking water, Electricity and all other necessary services.

The clearance of roads and by restoring the communication system will reveal the exact damage that is caused by the Nature’s disaster.

Till now the officials have claimed that 17 dead bodies were claimed by them and 7 country’s fishermen are missing. The death toll is expected to rise once everything gets to normal.

The Tourism Minister, Mr.Faiyaz Siddiq Koya has expressed his disgrace to the International Tourists for the breakdown of the communication system. The Air services by New Zealand, Australia and the Fiji have started for the Tourists to reach back to their destinations.
