Airport Service Quality Awards | Delhi Ranked # 1 by ASQ Survey

The Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport won the rank 1 in the Airport Service Quality awards which was given by the Airport Council International.

Indian Airport, Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in Delhi has been received an award as the world’s best airport 2014 which was selected and nominated by upto 25 to 40 million passengers as they were the passengers travelling through that airport. It was selected in terms of about 35 million passengers per annum category averagely in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) awards. The award was given by the Airports Council International (ACI) for the year 2014.

The airport was developed from an ASQ score as it was measured on scale (of upto 1 to 5) of 3.02 in 2007 to 4.90 in 2014. It got ranked second in the year of 2011, 2012 and 2013. ACI’s ASQ Survey caught the passenger’s instantaneous review as an appraisal from check-in during departure at the gate which was about more than 300 airports throughout the world.

The General Director of ACI World, Angela Gittens said, “ASQ is the key to understanding how to increase passenger satisfaction and improve business performance. At the end of the day, good business acumen comes down to a simple equation: better service, improved traffic and a healthier bottom line.”

According to the ASQ Survey, it propagates upto 34 key service places and also includes eight major categories. The airports which are participating will have the chance to use the similar survey questions, making an industry criterion as a combination of reviews that permits the participants to follow and examine their performance.
