Dia Mirza is an Indian actress and model who predominantly works in Bollywood. She is often known for her social work. She also has a production house named Born Free Entertainment. The actress recently was seen at the Prithvi Theatre Festival.
During that she said, “I went to a school that followed philosophy of Jiddu Krishnamurthy. I am daughter of a Christian father and a Bengali mom and grew up in a Muslim family. So religion has never been my identity. I explored this during my life course.
Religion and faith has to be followed and practiced but it never should be your identity.” Regarding the intolerance scenario, she said, “Those who return the awards do have a large heart.
Because it is a tough decision to do that. Every individual has returned their award and it is their right to do so. That is their own personal choice. This is also a style of protest.”
