Chennai: Indian Tamil film director, Bala has finished the direction of upcoming Tharai Thappattai movie starring Sasikumar and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar in lead roles by 130 days.

After success of ‘Paradesi’, Bala is set to direct Tharai Thappattai Kollywood movie. Sasikumar and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar are doing lead roles in this Tamil film. The movie is based on traditional ‘Karagaatam’ dance and famous composer Ilayaraja has given music. This movie is even special as it is the 1000th movie for Maestro.

Chezhiyan handles cinematography, Jayamohan who wrote the dialogues for ‘Naan Kadavul’ will again be the dialogue writer for this film. Studio 9 company R.K.Suresh plays the role of antagonist and the team has recently completed schedule in Andaman and final patch work has also been completed.

Now the movie has been completely wrapped up after taking a brutal fight sequence at Tanjore. It has to be noted that while filming such action sequence, Varalakshmi and Sasikumar were injured badly and Sasikumar had a ligament tear and Varu broke her collar bone.

We hear from sources that shooting took place for a span of 130 days and this is the first time a Bala’s movie has taken so long. The source added that background score and dubbing works will take place for another two months period. The movie is expected to get a release by Pongal 2016.
