New Delhi, July 16: India along with 26 other countries in the world came at a sight for developing early earthquake system. This is to predict the cause of earthquakes before is occurs in real.

The scientist, geophysicists and seismologists of 27 countries are joining together to work on ambitious project early earthquake warning system which can predict them before some seconds they occur. The detailed conversation about the development was held at a summit on Combating Earthquake Disasters’ in Kolkata on Tuesday.

Ministry of Earth Sciences, Shailesh Nayak said that, “If an effort is successful and model is prepared, significantly we can reduce the number of human sufferers. When earthquake occurs before few minutes some chemical changes under the earth’s surface and some physical displacements on the surface occur and anticipated that the developed model will be able to study and analyse these changes and the earth quake can be predicted. As a part of this, India is also planning to launch a satellite in 2019, which can tack the images of earth’s surface before the earthquakes.”

He also said that, many deep bore well, which are filled with sensors and other equipment’s will be put in place in active regions where the earthquake can be occur in the country to identify the chemical and physical changes under the earth’s surface in the coming years.

In India 22 states are disposed to earthquakes with various strengths like Severe, high moderate and low. During last one decade, 11 earthquakes with magnitude 5 or above on Richter scale had shaken the country.
