Chennai: Due to heavy rain fall in the city, Eeti movie which was supposed to release tomorrow finally postponed. Eeti team confirms the delay and will announce new date soon.
The incessant rains have caused more havoc and right now seem to be an independent island. The heavy rainfall is now reducing to drizzle. With respect to the huge rainfall, most number of celebrities came forward to help. Earlier we reported that ‘Rajini Murugan’ is postponed.
Now, ‘Eeti’ team also has confirmed the delay. The movie is directed by debutante Ravi Arasu who was a former assistant to Director Vetrimaaran. Michael Rayappan on behalf of Global Infotainment Pvt Ltd funds the venture. Sri Divya is doing the female lead role.
Jayaprakash, Azhagam Perumal, Aadukalama Naren and Manobala are part of the supporting cast. Technical team comprises of GV Prakash for Music and Saravanan Abhimanyu for cinematography. The team made a press statement regarding the delay.
The press statement from the production house reads as, “With respect to persistent rains in Chennai, we are postponing the release of ‘Eeti’ to some other day. We will announce the release date, once the city is back to normal state.”
