2nd July: Facebook to share its video sharing revenue up to 45% like YouTube is doing from starting. Is FB planning to compete with video giant YouTube? Let’s see what officials says.
Videos deliver exact motive of a concept, hence YouTube videos are getting such a response from audience and followers are being increased day-by-day. Reports say that there are many users of Facebook who watch videos on it daily. It is counted to nearly four billion times a day that 1.34% of FB users watch videos while logged into their account.
Till today, only YouTube is getting money from this, but now Facebook is serious in this regards. FB team doesn’t want its users to generate revenue to other source. Making it a trial, they want to drive more revenue from their audience itself, as its network is vastly spread.
The officials said that FB team to going to share Ad revenue with video makers such that more polished content will be generated to attract users. If this effort will be succeeded, it would bring a threat to Google which has 0.26% of its users who watch online video is search results.
How It Works?
We have seen that Facebook has slotted video ads into news feeds of users account. Now, they came up with a new feature called as “Suggested Videos” which contains ads of FB that are possibly created by large companies for business.
They are going to share Ads revenue now with the video creators by keeping 45% of total income generated on a video that is shown on FB. Survey says that 75% of videos are surfed on a Smartphone; hence they are targeting mobile users.
