Bollywood’s 60th filmfare awards checked out the best actor and best actress of 2014 with ‘Shahid Kapoor’ for ‘Haider’ and ‘Kangana Ranaut’ for ‘Queen’-including the award for ‘best film’ respectively.
After the Stardust Awards and the 21st Annual Life OK Screen Awards of 2015, now it is the time for the New Year’s 60th Filmfare Awards 2015 celebrations that held to honour the best films of 2014. The event went out with the blistering performances by the super stars of Bollywood on Jan 31st at the Yash Raj Studio in Mumbai. The evening was enormously enjoyed by the hosts like Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt and Kapil Sharma.
Black Lady for Kangana and Shahid
Vikas Bahl who is a well known director and producer for the realistic movies, got an enormous appraisal for his movie ‘Queen’ at the Award ceremony by winning the titles in key categories that which also includes the titles like best film, best director and best actress for its lead actress Kangana Ranaut. The film snatched out six Filmfare awards in the categories like best editing to Abhijit Kokate and Anurag Kashyap, best cinematography to Bobby Singh and Siddharth Diwan; and best background score for Amit Trivedi.
On the other side, Vishal Bhardwaj’s famous Shakespearean tale, Haider closed very much to Queen by winning five which includes the best actor award for Shahid Kapoor and best supporting honours for Tabu which was a tie with Kay Kay Menon. The movie also achieved in the technical categories like Dolly Ahluwalia for best costume designer and; Subrata Chakraborty and Amit Ray for the best production design list.
