Freedom 251 CFO In Trouble: Noida Police Registered FIR

World’s cheapest Smartphone Freedom 251 is facing the legal action as the owner and president is booked with the cheating case.

Just a few months back the entire country and the world mobile users were thrilled by the announcement of a smartphone company launching its latest model as Freedom 251 which costs exactly an amount of just Rs.251/-. Of course, the shipping charges are added to it. But still, the phone remains the world’s cheapest smartphone ever sold by any company.

The servers were crashed due to the heavy traffic on the opening day for the bookings of this phone. Later, there were many issues raised regarding the company’s potentiality and reliability. The concept of Make In India was also added to the phone.

In the latest buzz,on Tuesday, the Noida Police has registered a case of cheating under section 420 of IPC against the owner of Ringing Bells Mohit Goel and President Ashok Chaddha who had offered to sell the world’s cheapest smartphone following a complaint filed by BJP leader Kirit Somaiya.

Somaiya, in his complaint, said it was not possible to manufacture a smartphone at Rs 251 and the owner of the company was fooling the people. The Primary investigation found the matter fit for FIR. A case has been lodged and a team has been constituted to investigate the case by SSP S Kiran.

The company was directed to submit documents required for the investigation by the DSP Anup Singh. The firm informed that it is ready to cooperate with the police and any government agency that may require in enquiring the organisation for any reason or suspicion.

Mohit Goel still claims that they are in a position to deliver the most affordable quality products to its customers through various range of smartphones, including the Freedom 251.

The rumor is that the company is just distributing the smartphone by labelling the china manufactured product by re-labelling. The investigation will reveal the truth anyways.
