Hyderabad: In Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) area, Road Transport Authority (RTA) is planning for verification process of new autos that were registered previously.

The Road Transport Authority (RTA) is planning to start verification process from Wednesday around 5,942 appropriate applications in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) area for persons who want to purchase new autos.

The previous state government has allowed 20,000 new autos in the city, out of those nearly 11,000 were bought by drivers. T.Raghunath, Joint Transpot Commissioner said that, the verification process of SC/ST and BC communities’ applicants will be done later. Out of 5,942 verified applications, about 2,000 belong to the south zone or from old city areas such as Malakpet, Tolichowki and Kishanbagh.

As per RTA joint commissioner statement, daily only 100 applications will be processed at the Bahadurpura RTO, 80 applications at the Malakpet RTO, 50 at the Tolichowki RTO and 30 at the Secunderabad RTO and will be accepted after 2:00 P.M.

RTO and applications count is as follows daily

  • Bahadurpura – 100
  • Malakpet – 80
  • Tolichowki – 50
  • Secunderabad – 30
