Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management University, GITAM GAT Admit card 2016 released at its official website for download from today.
GITAM GAT 2016 exam was opted by huge number of students for seeking admission into various branches of Engineering and Pharmacy courses. Different Engineering branches covered by this test are – Architecture, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Instrumentation, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Civil, Industrial, Aerospace, Biotechnology
Apart from the above the combination of B.Tech. plus M.Tech – ECE and Mechanical branches are also offered through this test for the academic year 2016-17 admissions.
How to Download the GITAM GAT Admit Card 2016 :
Go to the official website www.gitam.edu and download the e-admit card 2016.
Eligibility :
Must have passed Intermediate or 12th examination from a recognized Central / State Board or its equivalent either in 2016 or 2015 with –
A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry and First Class or equivalent grade for B.Tech. Programs and
A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics/ Biology, Physics & Chemistry, and First Class or equivalent grade for B.Tech. in Biotechnology programs.
A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination with Mathematics or Biology, Physics & Chemistry subjects for B.Pharmacy Programs.
A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying Examination with Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry subjects and also shall qualify in NATA / JEE (Main) for B.Arch program.
Note: Students who have passed Intermediate or 10+2 examination in 2014 academic year or earlier are NOT eligible to appear for GAT-2016.
Exam Details & Pattern :
Duration of the test is 2 hours Test contains 3 sections – Section A with Mathematics or Biology consisting 40 questions comprising 120 marks, Section B with Physics consisting 30 questions comprising of 90 marks, and Section C with Chemistry consisting 30 questions comprising of 90 marks.
All questions are objective type. Each question has four options out of which one correct answer has to be chosen by the candidate. Each correct answer will be awarded 3 marks and each wrong answer will deduct 1 mark from the obtained score . The unanswered questions will not carry any marks.
Rank obtained in GITAM GAT (UGTP) – 2016 is also eligible for other courses admissions like Bachelor of Business Management (BBM), Bachelor of Environmental Management (BEM) and 5 Year Integrated (B.Sc. + M.Sc.) Biotechnology programs.
