Google Unveils Android Pay App for NFC Based Mobile Payments

California, May 30: Android Pay App introduced by Google today especially for NFC based mobile payments. This KitKat app will be acceptable around 700,000 stores in the USA.

Google aimed the fastest-growing payment market since the launch of Apple pay, on 28th May, 2015 it has unveiled Android Pay app for NFC based mobile payments. The vice president of engineering Dave Burke has unveiled the app during the Google I/O 2015 Keynote.

Android Pay is the latest payments scheme, it will work in any phone which has an NFC chip and running with KitKat version of the OS. It will acceptable at around 700,000 US store locations and big-name retailers such as Macy’s, Bloomingdales, McDonald’s and much more.

Earlier Google’s mobile wallet option was introduced to allow the user to pay through their mobile devices in store using NFC technology. Later Apple Play was introduced in the same concept, now Google has revealed the new feature with the existence of Google Wallet including partnerships with all four major card networks-Amex, Discover, MasterCard and Visa as like Apple Pay.

Users can use this Android Pay app in their Android phones with simply and safely to do the transactions whenever they see the Android Pay logo or the NFC logo in retailer stores. This app is mainly focused on simplicity, security and choice features.

Simplicity

It is simple, user can unlock their phones as normal at NFC terminal to pay and no need to open any app while doing transactions.

Security

It’s secure because when a user use this app to pay, a virtual account number is created to process the payment, but this number is not shared with the store during the transaction.

Choice

Users have choice while using this app means, it was built as an open platform, so user can choose the most convenient way to active Android Pay either directly though this app or else with the support of any other banking app.

This service will be available on future Android phones as well as from the Google play store.
