India, May 13: Maps gives access for Indian Railways schedules through Google Transit on mobile phones as well as desktops. Planning is made easy with options provided in Google Transit.

Google search engine added Indian Railways schedule to Google Transit feature, which will help the customers by providing the railways schedule to plan for transport trips in a better way. Google Transit is a feature on Maps, which provides details about public transport available in particular city. One can access it in Android or IOS based devices both in web and mobile.

It will provide latest information of Indian Railways schedule in eight cities New Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune. Now we can see 12, 000 trains as well as bus and metro routes of those 8 cities.

When planning for a trip with Google Transit, first you need to type a destination into Google Maps, then click on get directions and select Public Transit. Then we can find the available transport i.e. metro train, or bus for our journey.  And we can also choose type of transport mode and time we would like to depart or arrive by.

Google has more than one million transit stops for public transportation scheduled across the World, in 28, cities includes New York, London, Tokyo and Sydney.
