June 19: Google launched a redesigned version of Google Trends which provides real time data and minute-by-minute  services. Check here for details on Google Trends new look.

Search giant launched the resigned version of Google Trends with more focus towards generating and presenting real time data. For this Google followed the own material Design guidelines which was announced about one year ago.

The new home page of Google is now available in 28 countries across the world and it will add more locations with the next few months. With this improved trend search page Google will provide the real time list of trending stories and additional information about the stories.

Google made many of these changes based on the feedback which is collected from the hundreds of journalists and others around the world. Google is also providing Datasets for these journalists and others who are interested in trending topics. They can now download datasets from GitHub page with more information for their own analysis and visualizations.

With Google trends search giant will provide the real time updates, minute-by-minute updates during major live events like awards shows or sports championships. The new home page of Google is also tracing the popular videos and articles on YouTube and Google news.

Google is also says that, it will expand the service to find more niche topics in smaller geographical areas. More information about Google Trends is explained in its bolgspot.
