Delhi: Govt of India to hold a meeting with Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE) to discuss RTE act new education policy. Ministry of HR Development organize this meeting.

Central Govt Meeting with CABE to Discussion RTE Education Policy and the meeting will be arranged by the Government on August 19th as per reports. Union Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani has assembled a meeting of Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE) on August 19th.

The meeting will be planned to discuss extension of the RTE act New Education Policy. This is the 63rd Meeting of CABE and is likely to discuss the problems, increasing weight of school bags and status of NCC and NSS in schools and colleges.

As per updates, the HRD minister, Smriti Irani had received many complaints about heavy school bags. The CABE was formed with 19 designated members from different areas, apart from ex-officio members, various union ministers and vice chancellors of universities. The CABE was reconstructed on June 11th.

After NDA Government came into power, this would be the first meeting of CABE with central Government regarding discussion on Education policy. The meeting will be arranged to confer the status report of CABE committee on extension of Right to Children to free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009, to pre-school and secondary education.

The RTE Act currently applies to children between six and 14 years studying from class I to VIII. The CABE meeting will be concentrated mainly on the discussion process for new education policy.
