Film maker Gulzar made statement that his daughter Meghna’s movies are far better than his. Meghna forayed into industry as a director with the movie ‘Filhaal’ in 2002. Her recent movie ‘Talvar’ got more praises.
The movie got released on October. Recently Gulzar Sahab and Meghna attended the world premiere of the latter’s documentary on autism. This is the First International Film Festival for the Persons with Disabilities (IFFPD).
During the festival Gulzar said, “Let me be frank, Meghna’s movies are far ahead of mine. It is far better in all ways. But Technique and expression wise. I am just more of a writer. She is more of a film maker. My films are verbose because I am a writer. I talk much. Films don’t talk much. Movies will speak to you visually and there is a huge difference.
In response Meghna said, “Please don’t do that. That’s not done. Public exhibition was not the intention. The trust approached me and I shot the movie for them. The movie was meant to be shown to parents and kids in school. But it came to festival.”
