India’s popular playback queen Asha Bhosle, as we all know she is the first pop star also known as Ashaji. She born on September 8th, 1993 and started her film career in 1943. She has traversed over six decades in films. The famous singer has sung for more than 1000 Bollywood movies and apart from this she did many private albums. Asha Bhosle is the sister of the most famous playback singer Lata Mangeshkar. Now she is celebrating her 83rd birthday on Thursday. Ashaji made her debut in Bollywood with the song “Saawan Aaya” for HansrajBehl’sChunariya in the year 1948.
Asha Bhosle is pretty famous for her Hindi songs has also sung in more than 20 Indian and foreign languages. In 2000, Ashaji honoured with the prestigious award DadasahebPhalke and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008 by the Government of India. In 2006, the old singer officially confirmed that she had sung more than 12,000 songs including all languages. She booked a slot in the Guinness Book of World Records for her contribution in music history.
