Heavy Rain Till September 17 in Hyderabad | Meteorological Department

Hyderabad: Meteorological Department indicated that the Hyderabad city is expected to have heavy rains till this 17th September, around six more days.

Hyderabad city has been receiving heavy rains from 4 days, officials of Indian Meteorological Centre in Hyderabad has declared that heavy rains are recorded in this monsoon season due to upper air cyclonic conditions over Bay of Bengal and low-pressure conditions over Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Due to heavy rainfall over the last few days roads in many of places is completely submerged in water overflowing from the nala, people are facing problem with this, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has been receiving water-logging complaints from various number of places in city including Jubilee Hills, Masab Tank, Begumpet and Secunderabad.

People are facing problems with heavy traffic due these heavy rains, Motorist and autos struggled to wade through knee-deep water at several junctions. Meanwhile Hyderabad and Cyberabad Traffic police updating the people with their Facebook page with information about traffic jams and waterlogging.

The Telangana state government has arranged 86 monsoon emergency teams so far they have cleared water stagnation at 227 different places and removed fallen trees. Nearly 160 locations recognized as water stagnation points by the traffic police, and they are also helping the emergency teams with required manpower and vehicles.

As per information, Telangana government has already alerted the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) to be on guard for any rain related incidents. The India Meteorological Department has forecasted that the city will have rainfall till September 17th due to cyclonic condition over Bay of Bengal.
