The new SUV model in India by Honda BR-V advance bookings are open starting at Rs.21,000 before the official launch on May 5th, 2016.
The SUV was showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo 2016. The official launch of the vehicle is dated on May 5, 2016. The pre-launch advance bookings are open across the country with a minimum token amount of Rs.21,000/-. Honda BR-V is based on the same platform as the previous models – Brio, Amaze, and the Mobilio.
Exteriors :
Honda BR-V is the compact SUV with a new design. Though it looks like an MPV, the company insists it is an SUV. The top-specifications variant of Honda BR-V will get projector headlamps, fully garnished chrome on the grille, fog lamps, and 16-inch alloy wheels.
Interiors :
The interiors of the SUV gets a typical Honda cabin and sports an all-black interior with dull silver accents besides touchscreen audio system, automatic climate control, steering mounted controls, keyless entry. This model can be termed as the competitor for its rivals with its extra row of seats unlike the Duster and the Creta that are strict five-seaters.
Engine :
Honda BR-V contains the same 1.5-litre i-VTEC (petrol) and i-DTEC (diesel) engines that of the Honda City model. The CVT automatic is expected to be present in the petrol version only. The BR-V will sport a 6-speed manual transmission.
Safety :
The Honda BR-V comes with dual airbags, anti-lock brakes (ABS) and electronic brake-force distribution (EBD). The compact SUV has also scored a full 5-star rating in the ASEAN NCAP.
Price :
The expected price starts at around Rs. 8.0 lakhs for the base petrol version. The higher end model may end up at Rs. 13.0 lakhs for the diesel version.
