Hyderabad – 80 Eye Injury Cases Registered After Diwali Celebration

Hyderabad: Everyone celebrated Diwali this year on November 11, and on whole in the city, 80 eye injury cases are registered after finishing celebrations.

Everybody knows that Diwali is one of the biggest festivals in India. Every year huge numbers of people celebrates by blowing the cracker and different kinds of cracking items. At the same time many people are injured in that celebration. This year also nearly 80 cases were found with eye injury from various places in Hyderabad because of injury in celebration of Deepavali.

Among those cases, 13 years old boy named Shashikanth also admitted in hospital with eye injury, he didn’t take any inkling about ‘mirchi’ bomb.  He had flung the bomb in the air unfortunately it blow on his face after that he immediately rushed to the Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital.

Shashikanth was sixth patient among who admitted in this Eye hospital to make assessing the eye surgery on Wednesday night. “The cracker has exploded right side of the face and eye got serious injury” Shashikanth said. He is from Chegunda village in Medak district and his grandmother brought him to this Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital.

Likewise other patients such as two years old Rithwik who came from Maheswaram which is city outskirts also injured on his right eye with an unexpected blast, 23 years old Mohammed Siraj also admitted with badly injured eye, like that many serious cases has been admitted in this hospital on Wednesday night.

“Totally 39 patients had admitted in Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital with high injury by fire crackers on Wednesday night, among those 29 were treated in out-patient section and remaining persons also injured severely” added by M. Ram Rathod who is superintendent of Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital.
