Hyderabad, July 9: A 19 year old girl who has been tortured by her own father and stepmother over last seven months has rescued by police with the help of an NGO.

A shocking and horrible incident came into light on Wednesday at L.B nagar, Hyderabad that a 19 year old girl has been tortured by her father and stepmother, has saved by the police with the support of NGO. The girl was sent to hospital for medical examination and case was filed against couple.

As per sources, on a complaint, Telangana child rights body raided house in Hyderabad on Wednesday and found a horrible incident that, a 19 years old girl was washing utensils in frayed clothes and she had wounds and injuries all over her body. And she was happened to be the daughter of the house owner.

A 19 years old girl Pratyusha who has disturbed physically and mentally, told to the team that she has been tortured over a year by her father Ramesh and step mother Shyamala. The girl was allegedly beaten by her parents with rods and a hammer and forced to do housework. Police team finally save the girl with the support of NGO and registered a case on couple as per girl statement.

Police sent the girl to hospital for medical treatment and arrested the girl step mother Shyamala and father Ramesh who is a junior telecom officer in BSNL, is absconding.
