Hyderabad, June 2: Hitech City will be turned wireless within couple of months and work for this already started by TSIIC. The plan is to transfer all electric wires to underground cabling system.
The first public Wi-Fi spot, Hitech City will be turned wireless in the coming few days. All the overhead electric wires will be replaced with underground cables and making to look like a corporate spot where all the wires will go missing in few months. Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) will start work at Madhapur and Gachibowli for underground cabling to make it Hyderabad, a clean city.
IT corridor of Cyberabad is compeletey meshed up with lots of wires and the organization team said that these wires will be disappeared in few months only. As the part of pilot project work, there are two stretches decided to work for about 2.5 km costing about Rs.15 crore.
Raheja Mind Space to Inorbit Mall is one stretch and the other is Raheja Mind Space to Biodiversity Park. Thinking that this project will be finished in given budget and a time period of 8 months, TSIIC took a step forward for this. E. Venkat Narsimha Reddy, vice-chairman and Managing Director, TSIIC said, “This project will give a facelift to the area as the sight of the overhead wires is spoiling the ambience”.
“Based on the result of the pilot project, similar work will be undertaken throughout the IT zone in the Cyberabad region. All the upcoming industrial parks will have a similar design with no overhead cables or wires,” he added.
The officials also said that tender process is on the way. The completion of this will include multiple government departments and their support also. Either side of the road need to be dug up for about 2 ft in depth and 1.5 ft in width for this project.
In the dug place, a cabling track will be placed in which electricity wires and communication cables will be passing through ducts and a pre-cast slab will be placed above these ducts. At each distance areas, provision will made for repair or extension works. With this provision, we can open the slab easily to repair. And this underground cabling track could be used for pedestrian or cycling purpose it seems.
