The school authorities explained the reasons behind rejection that is “the teachers, interns, work studies and volunteers of schools all are mandated by the Russian authorities, to be among them the applicant should belong to the flowing nationalities by birth i.e. British, American, Canadian, Australian, New Zealander or South African”.
Then Akhila had written an email to the UN Human Rights Council “I do not know what racism is if this isn’t (sic).” She decided to fight for this injustice and tell that “My fight is not only for Indians, for every individual from any part of world, who has been unjustly categorized against based on nationality or racial, demographic and historical backgrounds when it comes for candidate’s selection that has qualifications of equal or comparable value”.
She has talent and skills to be employed in the role that she has applied and has bigger plans with her passion for language. She has also been planning a social campaign to publicize this cause and expressed that “People need to realize that the time to accept the rules, which have been unjustly passed, is over, and things should not be taken for granted if we want our future generations to have an environment that is nurturing, united, equal and just.”
