IIT Jodhpur M.Sc Admissions 2016 Notification Apply Online

IIT Jodhpur invites applications for admission to M.Sc. programs for the Semester commencing from July 2016.

The aim of the M.Sc. Program is to develop graduates having good knowledge and Research Training in Emerging Areas of Sciences. IIT Jodhpur has organized Master’s Program in domains of following three departments of the Institute, namely

  1. M. Sc in Physics
  2. M. Sc in Chemistry
  3. M. Sc in Mathematics

Eligibility for Taking Admissions:

M.Sc. (Chemistry): Bachelor’s degree with Chemistry as a subject for three years or six semesters and Mathematics at (10+2) level.

M.Sc. (Mathematics): Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics as a subject for three years or six semesters and Mathematics at (10+2) level.

M.Sc. (Physics): Bachelor’s degree in Physics as a subject for three years or six semesters and Mathematics at (10+2) level.

          For all the above M.Sc. Programs, a first class in the qualifying degree and a valid JAM Score are required; and the First Class is defined as:

Announcement of shortlisted candidates for the admission process: 25th April 2016

Date of written test and/ or Interview in Department of Physics: 11th May 2016

Date of written test and/ or Interview in Department of Chemistry: 16th May 2016

Date of written test and/ or Interview in Department of Mathematics: 17th May 2016

Announcement of admissions results: 21st May 2016

Students enrolled in the M.Sc. Programs are not provided any assistantship or scholarship from within the Institute.

The norms of reservation for different categories shall be adopted as laid down by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
