Hyderabad: Telangana government is planning to organize Independence Day celebrations at Golconda Fort for the second after the formation of new state.
Telangana state government is going to celebrate 69th Independence Day celebration at Golconda Fort and this is the second time where the state celebrating independence day after the formation Telangana as a separate state.
Telangana state government has announced on Monday that, the celebrations for Independence Day 2015 will be again held at the Parade ground, Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao will unfurl the national flag at the Golconda fort. According to information chief secretary Rajiv Sharma has arranged a meeting with top officials to review about arrangements for the main official function.
The review meeting has decided that, the chief minister KCR will pay the tributes to martyrs at a memorial at Parade Ground in Secunderabad, then after he will unfurl the national flag at Golconda fort at 10:00 am. Like last year, there will not be march past and tableaux at fort.
From the over five-decades, Independence Day celebration are hosting at the Parade Gorund, but the first time Telangana Chief Minister KCR chose the ancient fort for the first Independence Day after the formation of state as separate.
Parade Ground is hosting the Independence Day celebration since 1956, for the first time KCR chose the fort for celebrations to showcase the rich legacy of Telangana and this is the second time where celebration are holding at Golconda state after new state formation.
