BCCI has just now announced Indian team for test series with New Zealand. Test matches will commence from September 22. The complete India Vs New Zealand 2016 Schedule is given below. India will face three tests, 8 ODI’s and 2 T20’s at home against New Zealand. This is the big series and cricket fans will surely enjoy this series.

An important update is that BCCI almost followed the same team who played for West Indies except for two persons. Stuart Binny and Thakur are the two players who left out for New Zealand series. Interestingly Shikar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma picked for NZ series and once again Gautam Gambhir was excluded in the list. Gambhir was performing well in the Duleep Trophy matches. His exclusion was a big surprise and cricket lovers are questioning why selectors missed his name. The reasons for leaving him are not known and remain to be a big mystery.

One thing is not sure about the opening pair whether it is Shikar and Vijay or KL Rahul with Vijay. This might decide his place in the final eleven. The choice was left for Captain Virat Kohli and Coach Anil Kumble either to pick him or leaving him out. The India Test Team includes star batsman like Pujara, Rahane, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, etc.

The New Zealand Test Squad has also announced, and the complete list is provided below. Everyone is talking about why Rohit was selected? He scored only 9 and 41 from two innings in the third test at Gros Islet. Rohit also did not play well in the first innings of ongoing Duleep Trophy final in Greater Noida. But selectors believed that he was a fantastic player and he needed a longer run.

The three tests will be played in India at Kanpur, Kolkata, and Indore. The series will start with a practice match Vs Mumbai in between September 16-18 at Delhi. New Zealand’s first press meet headed by Captain Williamson and Coach Mike Hesson was completed today. The Ind Vs NZ first test match will be started from September 22 in Kanpur.
